Alongside our annual festival we offer exciting creative learning opportunities that bring talented artists and communities together throughout our global city of London.

Through this work we aim to spark inspiration and enable people of all ages to experience the wide-ranging benefits and joy of dance.

We create opportunities for people to watch, participate in, discuss and engage with high quality dance provision that celebrates the diversity and breadth of dance as an art form.

From immersive early years dance in theatres to large-scale, outdoor intergenerational shows, we produce bespoke projects, events and activities that aim to increase access to dance for more people across London and supports our belief that dance belongs everywhere, to everyone.

Much of the creative learning work we do is underpinned by a diverse range of partnerships that we make with other dance, arts, charity and public sector organisations. These essential partnerships allow us to deliver the work we do in more effective and meaningful ways as well as reach a greater number of people.

Children & Young People

Dance Umbrella fundamentally believe children and young people are audiences of today as well as tomorrow and deserve access to high calibre dance provision that engages, excites and enables new ways of seeing the world.

Through our London Leap programme (2021-23), we aimed to broaden understanding of and access to high quality dance experiences for children, young people and their communities across Outer London boroughs.
