About Mariko Finch +
Mariko is currently the Deputy Editor of Digital content at Sotheby’s covering UK, Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Her current role leads on writing, commissioning and editing content on fine arts and visual culture, as well as collaborating on editorially driven initiatives for Sotheby’s and external partners in the worlds of art, luxury and beyond. As a senior member of the content team, she helps to shape the editorial agenda around Sotheby’s auctions, exhibitions and events, producing compelling content and identifying rich stories to reach and engage broad audiences on their digital platforms.
Prior to Sotheby’s Mariko was Commissioning Editor of Digital content at Tate, where she was involved in commissioning, writing and collaborating on editorially driven initiatives across the four Tate galleries and external partners. Both roles have required her to manage teams of producers and writers and develop a detailed knowledge of how different channels behave; for both producer and audience. Mariko has interviewed a wide range of artists and professionals during her career as well as undertaken extensive studio visits, written in-depth articles and blogs and delivered special projects in print and online to extend the reach and reputation of each organisation.
