Jonzi D

Jonzi D is the Artistic Director of Breakin’ Convention and Jonzi D Projects. He has been actively involved in pioneering British hip hop culture since its genesis in the early 80s. Jonzi graduated from the London Contemporary Dance School, and was an Associate Artist at The Place. He has performed and created dance theatre pieces worldwide. As an emcee Jonzi has worked with The Roots, Steve Williamson and MC Mell’o’. Jonzi’s latest works includes The Letter, exploring responses to receiving an MBE nomination in 2011, and Broken Lineage in collaboration with Ivan Blackstock.

Liz Lerman

Liz Lerman is a choreographer, performer, writer, educator and speaker. Her artistry involves opening up her process to a wide range of people: from shipbuilders and physicists to ballerinas. Her performance works have been seen all over the world; Healing Wars is currently touring across the US. Liz conducts residencies on Critical Response Process (her highly-acclaimed method to further the development of works-in-progress), creative research and the intersection of art and science at institutions such as Harvard University, Yale School of Drama and National Theatre Studio.

Dame Arlene Phillips

Arlene Phillips came to prominence in the dance world by creating the often controversial but hugely popular dance group Hot Gossip. Since then, she has become a world-renowned director and choreographer, whose work has been seen on West End and Broadway stages, feature film, concert arenas, television, music videos and commercials. In 2013 the Queen honoured her as a CBE and in 2021, she was made a Dame for her services to dance and charity.
