Simon’s books include Being an Actor, Shooting the Actor, a highly acclaimed biography of Charles Laughton, and a biographical trilogy on Orson Welles. Jonzi DJonzi D is the Artistic Director of Breakin' Convention and Jonzi D Projects. He has been actively involved in pioneering British hip hop culture since its genesis in the early 80s. Jonzi graduated from the London Contemporary Dance School, and was an Associate Artist at The Place. He has performed and created dance theatre pieces worldwide. As an emcee Jonzi has worked with The Roots, Steve Williamson and MC Mell'o'. Jonzi’s latest works includes The Letter, exploring responses to receiving an MBE nomination in 2011, and Broken Lineage in collaboration with Ivan Blackstock. breakinconvention.com
Liz LermanLiz Lerman is a choreographer, performer, writer, educator and speaker. Her artistry involves opening up her process to a wide range of people: from shipbuilders and physicists to ballerinas. Her performance works have been seen all over the world; Healing Wars is currently touring across the US. Lady Camilla PanufnikCamilla Jessel Panufnik is an author, exhibiting photographer, and great supporter of the arts. Lady Panufnik, for many years a Governor of Sadler’s Wells Theatre, has been a dance fan throughout her life. Both Kenneth Macmillan and Martha Graham used her late husband’s music for ballet, and she has published two books on the Royal Ballet School. Author of 27 books, with numerous photographic exhibitions world-wide, she photographs rapid movement, body language, human emotion as well as dance-theatre.
Arlene Phillips CBEArlene Phillips came to prominence in the dance world by creating the often controversial but hugely popular dance group Hot Gossip. Since then, she has become a world-renowned director and choreographer, whose work has been seen on West End and Broadway stages, feature film, concert arenas, television, music videos and commercials. Recently, Arlene worked on Monty Python Live at the O2. In 2013 the Queen honoured her as a CBE for her services to dance and charity. She is currently working with Edward Watson on Whelan/Watson: Other Stories and a new Judy Garland show. arlenephillips.com
