Dance Umbrella aspires to be a hub for choreographic development, programming and debate. With this project we’ll take our experience of nurturing artists into the digital world as well as through live experiences.  We aim to provide artists working across the fields of dance, theatre, circus, opera, performance, visual arts and everything in between access to high-quality professional development opportunities in the art of movement and choreography, led by established national and international artists.

ChoreoBomb is an ambitious new project from Dance Umbrella. Following a period of research and consultation we are currently developing the prototype for a digital platform to host films, online seminars and other materials for further exploration, to support artists’ practice through information, inspiration and provocation. This initial phase of development has been supported by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation.

Our first seminar features dramaturg Ruth Little with guest Akram Khan as they explore Dramaturgy in A Word Free World. We look forward to sharing choreographic inspiration with you. Watch out for more in Summer 2016.
